12/08/2013 FIELD TRIP TO A MUSEUM

12/08/2013 FIELD TRIP TO A MUSEUM (EURO KIDS)

All the teachers along with the students of class LKG & UKG went for a field trip to a museum on 12/08/2013 in school bus.  The students were excited to go for a field trip after the days of class work.  We reached the Bangalore Vishveshwaraya Museum at Kasturba Road at 11.00 am on the entry of museum we encountered a huge model of Dinosaur which was   moving and sounding like a real dinosaur.  The students were excited at such an experience.  After that we saw several ancient inventions like steam wagon, oil engine, Diesel engine, models of animal power, human muscle power, wind power, hydro electric power, generation, Automobiles, spark plugs.  After that we went into fun science gallery where we saw marvels of moving air, Aerofoil, defying gravity, conic sections, Aerobatic stick, vortex, smoke rings, Magic water tap and much more things.

The students were too young to understand these inventions however, they were brimming with excitement.  School has arranged for seeing a 3D movie in the museum theatre.  It was a unique learning experience for the children.  Then all the students were taken to the nearby park for refreshments where from we returned back to the school. The trip was an educative, informative and unique of its kind.  I feel that the field trips like this will enable the students to learn in a better way.
