Children's Day & Kannada Rajyotsava @ HMR

14th November 2014 was really a pride for HMR. Kannada Rajyotsava , Children’s Day and Fun Fest were celebrated with great joy and vigor in our school. The entire school wore a festive look with fresh flowers, red and yellow kannada flags. It was rather a jolly feast for the eyes. Our Principal welcomed our former Chief Minister Sri H D Devegowda who was a staunch crusader of socio-economic development and an ardent admirer of the rich heritage of India as our Chief Guest. He inaugurated our Auditorium Hall. HMR Euro Kids became HMR Gnana Mandira thereafter.

The celebration was marked by displaying several performances based on Kannada. Out of which our State Anthem ‘Jaya Bharatha Jananiya Tanujate’ was traditionally performed with Kamsale, Dollu Kunitha, Nandi Kolu and Veeragase. We paid a tribute to the Great Heroine ‘Onnke Obbavva’ of Chitradurga by performing a hair rising performance. Children performed various events. They sung patriotic songs. There were no bounds for the children’s enjoyment.

Teachers had put up different food stalls and served everybody with delicious Veg Pulao, Hot Badam milk, Hot Vada Pav, Jalebis, Panipuri, Pasteries, Bajji-bonda, Ice-cream, Masala Puffed rice etc to raise fund which will be later contributed for charity. The whole of HMR family including the management, parents and students contributed to their best. The funfest was done with joy and pleasure. The road to righteousness is paved with the love of humanity. We motivate children to always walk in such righteous path to become better humans and to know the real meaning of humanity.
